Cycleenergy Appoints Experienced Biomass Logistics Expert

Cycleenergy, the Austrian renewable energy group operating and building biomass power plants in Austria and Eastern Europe has added a new position for biomass logistics.

Roman Fink has been appointed Senior Manager, Raw Materials Supply. Mr. Fink brings 12 years of experience in forest product supply and logistics. He built the entire biomass logistics and supply chain for a large Vienna biomass power plant. He also managed the rail cargo logistics of all Austrian log shipments for the Österreichische Bundesforste (Austrian National Forests).

"Cycleenergy is rapidly becoming a significant buyer of forest waste in Austria", stated Andreas Kyriakou, Managing Director of Cycleenergy.  "The appointment of Roman Fink allows us to optimize raw material supply and prepare for the planned expansion of our biomass power generation."

More than 10MWe of biomass capacity is expected to be online by the end of 2008.  Preparing the supply chain and logistics of biomass is critical to the economic and sustainable operation of the power plants.
