Since its founding in 2006, the Cycleenergy Group has been dedicated to the conception, development, construction and operation of decentralized energy solutions.
Since 2007, Cycleenergy has operated two biomass cogeneration plants at Aschach an der Donau and Gresten/Lower Austria locations (2 MWel and 5.6 MWth each), both comparable in construction.
Two years later, in 2009, another major step in development took place with the acquisition of the Gaishorn biomass power plant (4.3 MWel and 12 MWth) and the affiliated pellet plant.
In the following years, the continuous development of the locations resulted in growth in all areas, which resulted in a broad positioning in both electricity and, in particular, heat supply.
By taking over a location in Erndtebrück/North Rhine-Westphalia from the German Utility RWE in 2020, the Cycleenergy Group also took its first step in growth outside Austria.
Thanks to a long-term and sustainable growth path, Cycleenergy now employs 100 people and supplies corporate customers and private customers at 5 locations in Austria and Germany with base-load green electricity, bioheat, industrial steam and high-quality EN plus/A1 wood pellets.
